Industrial bearings

The term Industrial bearings is arguably very broad and with good reason. Modern industry relies heavily on bearings in a wide range of machines and devices. They are used widely in almost every type of rotating equipment.

Industrial bearings for a range of applicationsBearings and their performance remain essential to the effective performance of machinery. These small components must be reliable and low maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of equipment. After all, it is more favourable to replace a single bearing in an electric motor than to replace the entire motor.

That is why no matter the type of bearing, consistent quality products and reliability characterise all our stock. What’s more, our specialist application knowledge and industrial bearing expertise means we’re constantly on hand to offer technical support. We understand the headache that downtime can bring, so whether you’re after specialist relubrication, a speedy replacement or advice on a niche design engineering project, we can help.

Bearings for general machinery

Most types of standard bearings can be found in general machinery applications. Our bearings can be offered in different materials depending on the application and load. We can provide industrial bearing types from leading manufacturers, suitable for applications such as aerospace, medical, machine tools, inverters, instrumentation, food processing and robotics to name a few.

If you already know your specification, head over to our product zone. Here you’ll find plastic, ceramic and steel bearings in metric and imperial sizes.

Our standard plastic bearings are supplied with acetal (POM-C) rings and nylon (PA66) cages. However, alternative ring or cage materials, such as PEEK, PTFE or PVDF are available for greater corrosion resistance or extreme temperatures.

Our standard ceramic bearings are available in zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) but can be made to order with PEEK or PTFE retainers. Full complement ceramic bearings are also available.

Our steel offering includes thin section, miniature instrument, miniature thrust, marine grade 316 stainless steel and popular 440 grade stainless-steel sizes. Stainless-steel is more costly but is recommended in mildly corrosive environments.
